Is the antenna there to receive a WLAN signal or to connect the NAS wirelessly to the Internet or is the antenna there to connect devices (PC, notebook, mobile phone) wirelessly to the NAS?

All of the above together. This is simply a card for retrofitting a QNAP NAS with WiFi. But you can also install the card in a normal PC. https://www.computerbase.de/2020-09...
