Question about Safescan 1250 CHF

In our case, the machine only counts up to CHF 10 and then resets the display. The number of coins is correct at the end, but the total value is not. Is this a defect or does it have to be set somewhere?

I suspect that the batch function is activated on the machine. This function is described in the operating instructions from page 5 onwards.
