Nuki Smart Lock 3.0
Nuki Smart Lock 3.0
If the key is inserted on the inside of the KABA, it is no longer possible to turn the lock with the key from the outside. Is there a solution without replacing the cylinder?
No. A double cylinder with priority function is required.
This means that in case of emergency it can always be opened with the key from the outside, even if the key is inside.
Such a cylinder is needed for the Nuki system, because a key has to be fixed inside the Nuki system.
This way the door can be opened even if the system is not working, e.g. in case of a power failure.
This priority function is also available for rotary knob cylinders.
A new cylinder quickly costs as much as the Nuki. Fortunately, I have a rotary knob inside and am very satisfied, but for a colleague this is a knock-out criterion.
No, but there are special cylinders that make this possible.
I found no solution and replaced the cylinder.
