If I want to connect it to the TV, how do I get the best resolution, via HDMI directly on the TV or is it also possible via the receiver?

Directly on the TV and make sure that you use an HDMI-DVI connection - important! Otherwise you will have input lags!

I'm afraid I can't answer your question as I've never connected it to the TV. I have it on a screen.
If possible, I would connect it directly to the TV with an HDMI cable. I think it also works via a receiver. Sorry that I can't give you more detailed information.
