Question about TP-Link Deco M5 Dualband WLAN Mesh Set of 3 (AC1300)

If I want to add it to my UPC box, is the box still the router or does the Deco take over? Do I simply have to switch off the WLAN at UPC? Thanks

The UPC device takes over the function of a modem in the mesh system, i.e. the Internet signal is fed into the main Deco system and then this builds up a mesh with the two other Deco, with a separate DHCP server and network. The advantage of this is that nothing more is connected to the UPC router and the WLAN in the UPC router can also be switched off. The set-up is super easy, apart from switching off the WLAN and connecting one device as the main Deco to the UPC router, nothing needs to be done on the UPC device.
