If I record the "track" of a hike with the eTrex 10, is it possible to export it (GPX file) to a PC for use in software?
Yes, the Garmin eTrex 10 supports the GPX file format. So you can either get the GPX file of your route/walk from the Garmin eTrex 10 (and transfer it to the PC), or download a GPX file with instructions to the device.
