If I have PC and PS4 as inputs, is it possible to output the two sound sources simultaneously? Possibly output sound 2 via a second room and simply connect the speakers to both outputs simultaneously?

This is not possible, the receiver can record the sound from several sources, but play back only one. So either PC or PS4, but both together is not possible, you can not separate the signals and play on speaker 1 source 1 and speaker 2 source 2 at the same time.
