I would prefer to switch the device on only before going to bed and close the window completely overnight and switch the device off. Approximately how many hours in advance would I have to start in boost mode to cool down from approx. 28 degrees to approx. 23-24 degrees, bedroom around 17 square metres? Does the room normally heat up again very quickly as soon as the air conditioning is switched off or is the night then "bearable"?
The indoor station is connected to the FIX outdoor unit by a 2 metre long hose.
This is a closed unit which cannot be disconnected.
If you want to close the window completely at night, you would have to take the outdoor unit into the flat every evening.
And you certainly don't want to do that...
this will probably not work. it takes 20-30 minutes just to cool down the air, but if you switch the device off, it will warm up again within the same time. if you also cool the entire masonry for 2-3 hours, it lasts longer, but is still warm again after 2 hours. to keep it cool all the time, you have to run the system at least in sleep mode. in any case, the porta split is very good, quiet and powerful.
The best portable air conditioner I've ever seen, honestly. In 1 hour I drop 4-5 degrees and my window is even ajar. The bedroom is 12m2 and I'm in an attic where it's 28 degrees inside in the summer... I turn it on at full blast at around 9pm and turn it down to sleep mode at around 10:30pm. It stabilises all night at around 19-20 degrees and I sleep well.
