Question about FRITZ! Box 6820 LTE

I would like to use this device abroad with a SIM. The problem is that I can top up the SIM with credit online, but unfortunately I cannot activate any tariffs this way. To do this, I have to send an SMS. Can the box send and receive SMS because of such tariff bookings via SMS?
