I would like to install this router before the modem and am looking for a fibre to ethernet adapter.

The modem or converter must be installed BEFORE the router, otherwise it will not work. You must know whether you have AON, GPON or XGS-PON. The converter or the bridge must be approved!

As far as I know, this is only possible after the modem. What is the reason why the router should be installed before the modem?
Router before the modem ? Not heard of it yet. !
Normally, it should be installed after the modem!
