I installed a 2nd M2 drive (Samsung EVO 9700 500gb - an old drive from another build) on the motherboard but there is also a 2.5 inch slot for a normal drive. I plugged it in and it worked with no issues

What I wanted to know is if I can mount another SSD between the RAM and the ATX connector, how big and what kind of SSD? Also for the additional fan, on the MB there are only two connectors for "SYS_FAN1 4-pin system fan connector". So where to connect it?

Hi there :) 
I also bought this PC 👍 I'd advise you to buy a 2.5" SSD from Kingston for example with a capacity of 512 GB or 1 TB if you need it.

There's a slot available for this above the fan (with access to the cables through the side panel) which is easy to remove.

Then for the fan, you can add a second one at the front and find the slot on the motherboard by following the cables from the main to the motherboard.

Finally (this is just my opinion), you don't necessarily need to add an extra fan because the Air Flow is already optimised for this PC.
