I would like to connect 2 Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Max PoE switches directly with a fibre optic cable. My electrician suggested the following cable:
Fibre optic FTTx installation cable OS 9/125 IC53
Can anyone tell me which transciever I need to buy to make the connection work with the respective switch?
Thank you very much

For the direct connection of two Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Max PoE Switches with a fibre optic cable of the type LWL-FTTx OS 9/125 IC53, you need suitable 10G SFP+ transceiver modules that are compatible with the SFP+ ports of the switches. Ubiquiti recommends the use of UniFi UF-MM-10G transceivers (multimode, 10G) for these switches, which are suitable for 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm multimode fibre optic cables. As your cable is an OS 9/125 singlemode cable, you will need a singlemode SFP+ module instead, e.g. the UF-SM-10G, which is designed for 9/125 µm singlemode fibre optic cables.
To summarise: For your fibre optic FTTx OS 9/125 IC53 singlemode cable, you should use 10G singlemode SFP+ transceivers from Ubiquiti (e.g. UF-SM-10G) to establish the connection with the switches.
