Netgear AirCard 810
I would like to buy this device for my new flat and wanted to know if I can buy a second sim card from swisscom(unlimited mobile phone subscription) and then have it work as a "router" ?
With a 2 Swisscom sim card for 10 Fr. 20 GB of data is available per month at a fast speed, after which the speed is throttled....also a little less data for long-term TV watching, but otherwise sufficient....mfg
Salt has recently been offering the 35.- unlimited data subscription for 9.-/month, which would also be a real bargain if the reception is good. Swisscom will also charge a lot for a second SIM card.
I would change to Sunrise with the subscription "Sunrise Mobile Unlimited" Fr. 65.-- and an additional sim card for 5.-- then you have
- unlimited calls/SMS/MMS in Switzerland
- Surfing with 4G+ (CH) unlimited
- WhatsApp messaging (CH) unlimited
And with the additional sim card - unlimited surfing with 4G+ (CH) with all devices that log on to the WLAN.
Theoretically it is possible, but in Swisscom's terms and conditions, mobile data usage is prohibited even if it has unlimited data volume.
Quote from the GTC: "Significant deviation from normal use" and "special applications" mean that the mobile service is misused (i.e. not in the sense of a normal mobile connection) or abused. Examples are surveillance applications, machine-to-machine and direct dial connections. Further examples can be found at https://www.swisscom.ch.
If I were you, I'd go for Salt because it's unlimited and the speed is good (in my case), but it depends on the reception from your home with the Salt network.
The best thing to do is ask Swisscom
I would ask Swisscom directly
