Danfoss Actuator Icon ABN-FBH 230 NC
I want to fit two "Danfoss Servomotor Icon ABN-FBH 230 NC" valves to simply regulate the temperature in a room. Which thermostat would be best suited to connecting these two valves? If wireless, do you need a receiver near the valves or do the valves have a receiver? At the moment, I'm leaning towards the Danfoss BasicPlus2 but I'm not sure about compatibility. Thanks in advance.

To control two "Danfoss Servomotor Icon ABN-FBH 230 NC" valves to regulate the temperature in a room, we recommend using a wall-mounted thermostat with a switching output (on/off contact) compatible with a wired actuator. These actuators do not have built-in wireless reception, so they require direct wired control from a thermostat or control system.
The Danfoss BasicPlus2 is a wired thermostat with a switching output that may be suitable for controlling these valves, as the ABN-FBH actuators operate with a 2-point signal (on/off) or pulse width modulation. There is no need for a wireless receiver near the valves, as control is by cable (1 m cable supplied with each actuator).
To sum up:
- ABN-FBH 230 NC valves are wired actuators, not compatible with integrated wireless control.
- The thermostat must provide an on/off output (2 points) to control the valves.
- The Danfoss BasicPlus2, as a wired thermostat with switching output, is suitable for this application.
- No wireless receiver is required near the valves, as the connection is wired.
So, for simple room temperature control with two ABN-FBH valves, a wired thermostat like the BasicPlus2 is a suitable and compatible choice.
