Question about Devolo dLAN 1200 triple+: Starter kit
I want to connect the basement to my flat with Powerline. However, my flat is connected to a different earth leakage circuit breaker than the basement. I have read that I need phase couplers to get the signal over the earth leakage circuit breaker. Has anyone been able to get the Powerline set to work via a ground fault circuit interrupter?
A phase coupler is necessary if the high-frequency signal is to be visible outside the house network or in another network.
I don't understand why you are worried about the RCD, which protects against very high currents (e.g. a short circuit at a socket (240V ...)).
If your basement is connected to the same mains --> this should not be a problem ...
If you are not sure, you could just try it out (nothing can happen), or try to clarify this with a phone call to your electrician ...
Alternative solution would be: WLAN with repeaters ...
