I use this ASUS router as a WLAN amplifier in combination with my AVM FRITZ!Box 7583 (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/avm-fritzbox-7583-router-17686673), but I do not achieve the speed that would actually be possible. According to the line of my 2.5 room flat, I should be able to reach 425 Mbps. The Internet subscription from Quickline runs at 500 Mbits/s. Since I don't really want to run a LAN cable through the flat, I have connected my PC to the WLAN. The FRITZ!Box modem as well as the router are located quite centrally and not even 3 metres away from my PC and TV, yet I only achieve a speed of approx. 260-280 Mbits/s download and 119-121 Mbits/s upload. I don't know enough about the settings of the ASUS router. Is it perhaps a setting or do I have an unsuitable router for my modem?

Wi-Fi interference: Other nearby Wi-Fi networks may be transmitting on the same channels as your network, causing interference. You should try changing the channel manually or disable the automatic channel selection in your router and choose a channel that is least crowded.
Also, both should be set to 5GHz.

It is unlikely that your TV supports 802.11ax. Only the very new and expensive devices do. For example, the new Samsung 8K neo qled.

Do your devices (computer, mobile phone) support the new wifi 6 802.11ax at all?
