I still have a good TV lying around that I would like to use as an infotable in combination with a mini PC or stick. Is it possible to keep Outlook Calendar running on it?

Absolutely no problem - should suffice by far if it's just a matter of displaying Outlook. Personally, we run VMWare - it actually works very well. Only the input devices under the actual surface are a bit sluggish.
