I was able to do a search and unfortunately I couldn't find anything really useful that I can share here, except to reset and try to set everything up again with the new SIM card, possibly check the SIM PIN settings. Otherwise, it may actually be the case that only data SIM cards are possible. Unfortunately, it is relatively difficult to provide accurate technical support remotely. In any case, I recommend contacting the manufacturer directly.

I have reinserted the old data card, but it no longer connects to the internet. If you remove and put in a data card, do you then have to do any further work to activate it?
