It is better to forget about the software on the mini CD supplied! Simply plug in the dongle and WIN10 will take care of everything else.

Have you tried using the drivers supplied? I also had problems at first. Then I uninstalled the programmes and drivers on the CD and let Windows 10 work itself. It works perfectly now.
