Question about Jamo S 8 Atm
I just bought the Jamo S803 speakers, which work very well. I have connected them to the MAIN connection at the back, to a single amp with 2 speaker outputs, rated for 8 ohms. I'm interested in the S8 ATM accessories above, with these integrated and S803 compatible connections. For proper operation, will this work on a single amp like I have, or does the amp need to be connected to the HEIGHT connections on the back of the S803 as well?

These small speakers are a little trick from Jamo, because by combining the compatible speaker models with Jamo 800 series speakers, it is possible to use its feet as contact points with the internal cabling of the 800 series speaker, so when they are placed on the compatible speaker, they form a tower which avoids having the terminals/wires for the suspension of the speaker.so when they are placed on the compatible speaker, they form a tower which avoids having the binding posts/wires for the speaker connection at the top.
By wiring them internally with terminals at the bottom of the compatible host speaker, so you can simply pull another pair of cables from the bottom to the AV receiver terminals.
I say AV receiver because, by default, these speakers are designed for Dolby Atmos and are responsible for creating spatial/height effects in the audio system when receiving from the AV receiver.I say AV receiver because, by default, these speakers are designed for Dolby Atmos and are responsible for creating spatial/height effects in the audio system by receiving the signal from the AV receiver on the channel intended for this purpose, which is usually transmitted via a pair of separate speaker terminals.
In short, the customer must have a receiver that supports the Dolby Atmos standard and has separate output terminals for the Atmos speakers in order for everything to work as intended.
Theoretically, they can be connected as separate speakers.
