The device is a SAT receiver with two CI slots. So if someone has an HD card from SimpliTV, HD Austria or similar providers, for example, a card in the CI slot can decrypt encrypted channels (mostly HD channels). If you are looking for a device for reception via the Internet, the Panasonic DMR-UBS90EGK is not suitable because the app for this is not available in the Panasonic store.

I bought the device to become more independent from (in our case: Swisscom).
The device cannot replace the Swisscom box.
