Netatmo Smart thermostat
I have already installed smart thermostats on our radiators, but when it is very cold outside, the control no longer works reliably: it seems that the thermostats are heated too much by the radiated heat from the radiators, close the valve and the rest of the room is still cold. Can I use this thermostat to measure the actual temperature elsewhere in the room and then control selected radiators? I don't have access to the boiler itself. I just want to have the temperature sensor further away from the radiator.
The thermostat is of no use to you, it can switch the heating on and off, but is not used to communicate with the thermostats.
I have removed all the thermostats again because the system doesn't work as I wanted it to.
I have the old thermostats again for manual control and use the room thermostat to switch off the heating when there is enough heat in the living room.

The radiator thermostats have the technical disadvantage that they measure the temperature where we are not. This results in empirical values that have to be readjusted depending on the situation, always assuming that the flow temperature can supply the energy. The smart radiator valve is no different, but they can be set via app (e.g. schedule, absence, day, night, weekend, etc.).
Another smart thermostat is the wireless thermostat, which is wirelessly connected to its relay station, which in turn switches valve actuators (e.g. for underfloor heating). The actual thermostat module is set up in the optimum location (also pay attention to height and sunlight).
I have both types in use.
