Question about Swisscom Network cable

I have a Swisscom 100 Mbit/s connection and bought this cable to move our router further away from the socket, but the cable is missing the red plug to connect it to the Swisscom box. Am I supposed to remove the red plug from the existing cable and connect it to the new one or should I buy the small red plug independently ?
