Question about Google Nest WiFi Pro Set of 3
I have a Sunrise Mondem at home on the ground floor and I want to have good wifi in the basement and 1st floor. (today with wifi extender it does not work well) Which Google Nest product should I buy? can I buy this set of 3? I have realised that there are Google Nest routers and Google Nest access points. The set of 3 are only access points? Do I still need a router? Thanks for your help.

The set of 3 consists of three mesh routers, each with two Ethernet ports, which can all act as routers or access points. You do not need an additional router, as one device is connected to your Sunrise modem as the main router and the other two extend the signal as mesh points.
Specifically for your situation:
- Current setup: Your Sunrise modem remains on the ground floor as the Internet source.
- Solution: A Nest Wifi Pro router is connected to the modem via Ethernet cable, the other two devices are placed on the ground floor and first floor as mesh points.
- Coverage: The set of 3 devices covers up to 6600 square feet (~613 m²), which is typically sufficient for multi-storey houses.
Important:
- Incompatibility: Nest Wifi Pro is not backwards compatible with older Google/Nest routers.
