Question about AVM FRITZ!Box 4040 International

I have a fibre connection at home. The router is in the power box and has only one port, where I can only connect my PS by cable in the living room. Of course, I would like to connect several things to the network via wifi. Is this device suitable? So can I simply connect the device with a Gigabit Ethernet cable to the plug in the living room, then the internet goes via the Fritzbox and so I can connect the PS4 and TV there with Ethernet, and the other things via WLAN?
