How does the 2019 code work?

I thought I got a 10% voucher every year for my birthday. A friend of mine also confirms this. When I asked Digitec today, they said that they distribute them randomly.....
Somehow I can't shake the suspicion that digitec is getting bigger and bigger and that the best points are dwindling as a result.
It can't be that customer X gets a voucher and customer Y doesn't....!?

The birthday voucher is only a 10% discount, which wouldn't make much difference here
