Question about edimax EW-7612Uan v2
I don't quite get it. Without this antenna, I can't connect my PC to the Wi-Fi? And I only read about hotspots here. That confuses me a little too.

If your PC does not have a WLAN component, you can connect to the WLAN with this product. A notebook, for example, has WLAN as standard, so you don't need it unless the internal antenna is defective. A normal PC has WLAN less often. For example, there are also plug-in cards for PCI-E or in this version here with a USB interface.
What you read about hotspot, the opinion is that you receive the WLAN via mobile phone and pass it on to your PC via a cable. That works too, but I think the reception and speed is much better with this antenna.
