I cannot install firmware updates. It always says Update failed. I have tried everything with Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, the update always failed. Does anyone have any more ideas.

I had the same problem. It only worked for me in IE 9. I also entered the IP address in the Internet options: in the Security tab; Trusted site: here I entered the IP address e.g. http://192.168.1.56 (but it must be the IP of your camera). I have also entered the IP address under Data Protection, namely "Allow". I also deleted the cache and cookies - Internet Options tab "General", "Browsing History" "Delete" and then restarted IE - after that I was able to access the camera and make an update. Please note the advice from idomix.de and which version to install first.

Thank you for the answer. That was my original goal as well. But since I couldn't do that, I wanted to install the Trendnet update. As I said, I have the feeling that it simply writes "Update failed* without actually trying it. I don't know what else this could be.

Try installing the Hikvision firmware. I did, because it is much more comprehensive than the Trendnet firmware.
