Question about Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige

I bought this model of electric toothbrush a year ago and after a few months of use, very intense vibrations suddenly appeared and the brush movements no longer worked properly. I returned the product and received a new one as a replacement. The same problem appeared on the new toothbrush after a few months: very intense vibrations and noise, incorrect operation. Could this be a manufacturing defect? Thank you for your help.

My observation is that the noises appear as soon as I use the brush for longer than intended. I assume that the wear on the brush is not necessarily the brush head, but the stress on the connection to the handpiece caused by the ultrasonic vibrations. In any case, it gets better again as soon as I replace the brush.
