I would try to set the router to AP mode and then it should actually work without any problems. You do not have to enter any login data to connect to the Internet.

Have you ever tried to operate the router without the internet box? Swisscom actually allows foreign routers and maybe the Asus router can do it without the IB2...

PPPoE was faslch, have now connected it from WAN to LAN and it works fine.
