I bought the product new. The instruction manual says to use dishes/ kitchen utensils suitable for the microwave. For automatic cleaning, a light plastic container is recommended.
Now my question: I only have glass microwave dishes, is this unsuitable in combination with the ceramic base? Or can these be used without hesitation?

Answer

The bottom is not really made of ceramic. Glassware is not a problem in general, the recommendation to use a "light plastic vessel" for cleaning probably has other reasons: on the one hand, no risk of breakage, on the other hand, the water probably heats up faster in a plastic vessel than in one made of glass.
