Question about FRITZ! Box 5690 Pro International

I bought the 5690 Pro to use as a direct modem for my Wingo DSL connection. We have now moved, first connected the standard "Swisscom" modem we received from Wingo and achieved around 540 Mbps download and 140 Mbps upload speed (according to Speedtest by Ookla). I have now switched to the 5690 Pro, as I generally like the FritzBox environment very much and would also like to use another AP from FritzBox. Unfortunately, I now only get 134 Mbps down and 46 Mbps upload. The same is also shown on the overview page in FritzOs under "Receive" and "Send". What is the reason for this? Is the box configured incorrectly? Or how can I explain this? Thank you for your support!

Hello,

We assume that you wrote your product review before calling our technical hotline, where we discussed the lower data rate.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro can be operated on DSL connections with a maximum of 300 Mbit/s via VDSL 2, which in your case can be negotiated at approx. 140 Mbit/s due to the greater distance to the exchange.

The Internet connections supported by the 5690 Pro are described in detail here:
https://fritz.com/apps...

A DSL connection of 540 Mbit/s is most likely a DSL connection with G.fast (different technology), which the 5690 Pro does not support and for which the 5690 Pro is not advertised.

If you have any further questions or require product advice, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support team by e-mail. For this purpose, please send us the character string "#7095362" to the e-mail address: fritzhilft(at)avm(dot)de .

Kind regards from Berlin
Your FRITZ! team

I would like to connect the Fritzbox 5690 Pro to the Galaxus fibre connection. Unfortunately this does not work. Is there anything special I need to consider or enter? Both adapters Fritz! SFP GPON and Fritz! SFP AON are available. I have tried both. Internet test shows that the fibre optic is not OK. But it can't be, the normal Galaxus Zyxel router works.

I am using the Fritz!Box 5690 in bridge mode. Internet speed in WLAN has remained the same compared to the WLAN of the Wingo Internet Box. The same applies to Ethernet. All settings could be configured quickly with Chat GPT. If the Fritz!Box is absolutely to be used as an Internet box, I would also work with Chat GPT.

Hello.
The Fritz must be able to do G.fast and unfortunately only the new 7682 or the somewhat outdated 7583 can do that.
I hope I was able to help.
