I am thinking of moving the zone 2 of my hi-fi system to the garden seating area. This and the garden are around 8x15m which should be covered with sound. Mostly with crisp background music and also sometimes for a party-like atmosphere. It is important to me that the sound is not jarring or anything like that. Rich sound even at low frequencies... Mainly rock and metal.

Are the Yamaha NS-AW592 sufficient for this or would it be better to go for the big 952s or Bose 251?

I would have a look at the canton 3 xl... I recently got the Yamaha 592, they are quite okay, but if money is no object I would rather take the canton... I can't say anything about the big Yamaha...
