In my opinion (without really being able to compare), the unit is quite quiet - comparable to a fan. Sleeping on the medium cooling level is fine - which of course depends on how you feel.

Unfortunately, this item has not yet been rated by any of our customers. However, the manufacturer states the volume as 60.4 db and very quiet.
