Unfortunately, nowhere does it say how resistant the unit is to DVDs with scratches and fingerprints. However, it is advisable to clean the CD well in case of grease stains: 

Mix alcohol and distilled water in a 1:1 ratio.
Dip a lint-free cloth into the mixture.
Carefully clean the CD in straight lines from the inside to the outside.

You can remove light scratches with toothpaste: Rub the CD carefully with toothpaste and remove it after about five minutes with a soft cloth. Be careful not to clean the CD with circular movements. It is best to clean the CD with straight movements from the inside to the outside.
