Helpful answer

It's very easy, just insert the Braun upside down (it loads automatically) and press start. Depending on how long it has been since the last cleaning, the station selects the programme. The cleaning is perfect.

I'm on the road here today because I'm looking for a new razor.
I bought the Braun Series 7 from Galaxus in November 2012 to replace a Panasonic Wet & Dry.
The Panasonic lasted quite a while, so I only started using the Braun Series 7 in January 2015.
Today it gave up the ghost - after 2 years of use! That's what I call lifecycle management. Lifecycle designed exactly for the warranty period. Panasonic didn't last forever either, but it lasted longer. What is the problem with the Braun? Corroded contacts (on the shaver side and on the charging station side). This points to inferior materials and components. Made in Germany does not necessarily mean that good quality is used. Plus points for the Braun: a closer shave (but this probably varies from face to face) - and slightly cheaper cleaning cartridges than Panasonic. One thing you have to hand it to the marketing experts from both companies: with these cleaning systems, they know how to build up a constant income even with electric shavers. The cartridges are designed for one month's use, which corresponds to a daily cost of about 15-20 centimes (plus the amortisation for the razor). I'll see what Galaxus / Braun has to say about the demise of my Series 7.
