Question about Sony UBP-X800M2

Blu-ray Disc media are identified by a regional code, but unlike DVD players, Blu-ray Disc codes use letters rather than numbers to indicate the specific zones or regions where the discs can be played.
Zone A: North America, South America, US territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and other parts of South East Asia
Zone B: Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand
Zone C: Asia (excluding Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other regions of South-East Asia)
No zone: this is not an official statement. Discs with no geographical restrictions either have no symbol or show the symbol for all zones (A, B and C).
The regional codes for commercial Blu-ray Disc films can be found on the back of the Blu-ray Disc cover.

I tried it with a US medium: unfortunately it doesn't work. But you can play it on a PC with the right software, if that helps you.

I have purchased this player and can tell you that it is Zone 2 only!

Unfortunately, I can only see the possibility that only the manufacturer can answer this question 100%, sorry.

Simply call Sony customer service - technical support - and together with the technician change the UBP to the respective country (if necessary) (internal special menu, where you don't usually get it), mine also works in my home country Thailand. I don't know about the USA!

Would have liked to help you, unfortunately I only use European Bluray or Ultra HD discs
