How compatible is the switch with other transceivers? can i select "generic" on the fs page, for example?

Yes you can, unfortunately I didn't find anything suitable for copper at Galaxus, then I found what I was looking for on fs.com: Generic Compatible 10GBASE-T SFP+ Copper RJ-45 30m Transceiver Module, https://www.fs.com/de-en..., running continuously since August 2019 without problems :D
