Hi, the data sheet states that the switch is managed, but not here on Digitec. According to the data sheet, the only difference between the EP and the larger EPP is the number of watts that the PoE can push. Can anyone confirm this for me?

The term "Smart Managed Plus functions" actually says it all. Furthermore, in order to be able to use VLAN sensibly, you must also be able to configure the switch. The information regarding Management at Digitec is incorrect.
