Nest Protect Set of 3
Nest Protect Set of 3
Hi - How old are the units that are supplied, based on a total of 10 years of service life, still so relevant? - how long is the operating time of the batteries on average? - From my point of view, we are talking about so-called IOT devices that I actually want to operate in the guest WiFi and not in my private network. Do I have to be on the same WiFi for a) configuration, b) control with the smartphone/tablet or does the control work via the Nest account via internet? - If I operate the Protect in the guest Wifi (or in future probably "IOT network" i.e. sep. SSID), how does it behave with the alarm messages? Will I receive them on the mobile devices? This is also the case when I am on the road, for example? - Does anyone know whether a new generation is to be expected in the near future and whether Google Home will be integrated? Thank you for any relevant information
digitec must answer how old the devices are in stock.
The batteries should last about 3 years. My system has only been in operation for a year and works without any problems.
The devices are registered and configured via the app. The Wifi network and password are also set. They then communicate with the Nest server via WiFi. The messages are then sent to the app, regardless of the network. With the smoke detectors, the on-site alarm with the siren is probably more important.
The same thing works with a Nest surveillance camera.
