Hey I wanted to know if I still need a "main router" when I buy this router? Where does the internet come from, is it free forever after paying once?
In addition to the router, you also need a fibre optic modem, which is then plugged in between your telephone socket and the ASUS router. As usual, you have to register the internet as a contract with one of the usual suppliers and pay monthly.
