What exactly is the difference between the Sonorous STA260T and the Sonorous STA160T? Only the higher load capacity because of the 5th roller? Or is the 260 perhaps better made? I'm a little unsure because the reviews of the 160 are not consistently good...

The differences between the Sonorous Studio furniture series:

Width: 
ST 110 / ST 111: 110cm wide.
ST 16x / ST 26x / ST 36x: 165cm wide.

Interior partitioning:
ST1..er series is with normal interior partitioning with shelves. 
ST2..er series is compatible with soundbars (partitions set back).

Front flap (260 series as an example):
STA-260F, F = Flap: Wooden flap. 
STA-260I, I = Infrared: Infrared glass.
STA-260T, T = textile: Fabric covering.

TV mount:
160 or 260 series is exclusiveTV bracket (but can be retrofitted as an option).
161, 261, 361 (or 362) series includes TV mount.

Delivery condition:
STA: A = Assembled (delivered assembled).
STD: D = Disassembled (assemble yourself).

Einkauf.ch's answer is not wrong, but it is not complete either:

1 series is with normal (STA-160F, F = flap) or infrared-transmissive glass (STA-160I, I = infrared).
2 Series is with fabric covering (STA-260T, T = textile), i.e. suitable e.g. for soundbars, hence a different interior layout.

Other model differences that are often not clear:
STA = Assembled
STD = Disassembled (assemble yourself), therefore also cheaper

Hello Marcel, 
as I see it, the main difference is in the layout. In the STA260T, the vertical "support boards" are set back in the upper area. This makes it very easy to integrate a soundbar, in my case the Sonos Playbar. The Sonos SUB can be perfectly accommodated in the lower left or right compartment. By the way, I would buy the furniture again. Greetings Nico
