Question about ASUS GT-AX11000 Gaming Router WiFi 6

Hello, This may be a silly question, but is a router like the Asus GT-AX11000 compatible with a Swisscom Internet Box 2? Do I need to connect the router to the Swisscom Box? Thank you in advance for your help.
