I have four nodes in use, all of which are connected to the main node via wifi. If I now want to address the nodes via LAN, do I have to wire them in series (i.e. from one node to the other node and from there to the last node) or can I go from the main node to a switch and then address the other nodes in a star configuration? I would be happy if someone here could help me in this regard.

Have connected them via switch. It has been running flawlessly for more than two years.
