I am not familiar with water hoovers and this question may sound stupid, but I would like to know if I can vacuum the flat without using the wash function by buying this hoover.

I have surfaces that don't have carpet (parquet) and I would be afraid that wet vacuuming could damage them.

Hoi, yes, if you can do it.  You have to activate the water function.  If you don't activate it, it's a normal hoover, you can vacuum dry and wet.
