Hello. I am looking for a small router that has the option of operating an external hard drive (SSD) in the home network via a USB connection. The router would be connected via RJ45 to the Swisscom Internetbox4. Should this work with this router? And how is it supplied with power? Is a power supply unit included?

The WD My Net N900 HD Dual Band Router Wireless N can do that, it already offers 1TB internally as a hard drive and also has two USB-A ports, one of which is USB 3.0 and the second is USB 2.0. I am offering this router on the online sales platform for free insearate starting with T. It is unopened and still in plastic. It is unopened and still in foil.

I found this in the manual, a 1TB hard drive is already built in, but this can of course be exchanged for a larger one (or for an SSD) and more hard drives can then be connected externally.

USB port - Gives you the flexibility to add storage devices and share files with other
computers or mobile devices. Enables you to connect a printer to a USB port and print from
any computer within your network.

Internal storage - The My Net N900 Central router models provide 1 TB or 2 TB of internal
storage.

As far as I know, a simple external USB hard drive can NOT be connected via this router as a mass storage device and made into a network storage device.
