Hello, After all the updates, what is the real difference between this model and the 824? I would like to replace my sony which does not read 4k or full hd files from my NAS in EAC3 (DD+), does it do all these operations well in fuidity including H265? Any other comments would be appreciated. Thank you

Helpful answer

The main difference between the DP-UB424 and DP-UB824 is the advanced features of the DP-UB824, including a more projector-optimised video processor and some additional options for HDR optimisation.options for HDR optimisation, but both use the same HCX processor for excellent 4K Ultra HD picture quality with HDR10+ and advanced audio support.

For smooth playback of 4K or Full HD files in EAC3 (Dolby Digital Plus) from a NAS, this player supports Dolby Digital Plus audio formats and 4K Ultra HD playback, including H.265 decoding, which should ensure smooth playback of these files. It is also WiFi compatible, making it easy to connect to the network to access files stored on a NAS.

In short, this player is well suited to replacing a Sony player that doesn't support these formats, offering excellent compatibility with 4K, Full HD, EAC3/DD+ and H.265 files, as well as top-level picture and sound quality. The DP-UB824 may offer a slight advantage if you're using a projector or want additional HDR options, but for conventional use, the DP-UB424 is a good all-rounder.
