Hello, in our flat the fibre optic connection is in the fuse box in the storage room and there I can connect a cable from the router to the different plugs that go into each room, but we don't want to connect all the devices with cables. I have a very poor wifi signal in the whole flat because the router is so hidden. Now my question is, can I plug in the Fritz!Box 7690 International in the living room, for example, and then have wifi? I have a Wingo Internet subscription. I'm a bit of a leaner when it comes to things like this.

You can connect the FRITZ!Box 7690 International in the living room to use WLAN there. However, the box must be connected to the fibre optic connection, which is in your fuse box in the pantry.
Since your fibre optic connection is in the pantry, you can connect the FRITZ!Box 7690 there and then set up a FRITZ!Repeater or another FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater in the living room via LAN cable to improve the Wi-Fi signal. The FRITZ!Box 7690 supports Mesh, so you can improve the Wi-Fi signal throughout your home without having to connect all devices via cable.
If you want to connect the FRITZ!Box 7690 directly in the living room, a corresponding fibre optic or DSL connection must be available there. Otherwise, the best solution is to operate the FRITZ!Box on the fibre optic connection and use a mesh repeater to distribute the Wi-Fi signal throughout the home. Your Wingo Internet subscription is compatible with the FRITZ!Box 7690.
