If the VMB 5000 base station was included in the package, data can be stored on a MicroSD card (see the comparison of the various Arlo base stations on the following link: https://www.arlo.com/de_ch/support/faq/000062284/Was-ist-der-Unterschied-zwischen-den-verschiedenen-Arlo-SmartHubs-und-Base-Stations).

Smart Hub/Base Station you also need for local storage (via SD Card). This model without Smart Hub/Base Station does not work.
