Hello, I have just received the case. In addition to the combination lock, it also has a lock for a key. However, the key is not included. Is this not needed in an emergency if you have "forgotten" the combination?

Is for customs.

Contact a suitcase dealer who sells suitcases with TSA locks or check the TSA homepage. The other users have already explained the rest in their comments.

This TSA (Transport Security Administration) lock was developed to ensure quick opening at customs control (USA, Canada and now Emirates). It allows customs to open your suitcase at any time and check it by random sampling. Customs will open your suitcase with a key.
